Obituary
Alvin B. Pugh, 81, lifetime resident of Chester, passed Saturday, April 23, 2022, at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Born, June 21, 1940, in Chester, he was the son of the late Charles and Novel Smoot Pugh.
Alvin was also preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne and Frank Pugh.
He dedicated his entire life to working and taking care of his family. He was formerly employed at Crescent Brick and Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack and Resort in the Maintenance Department. He enjoyed being outdoors but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren.
Alvin will be deeply missed by his sons, Tim Pugh (April Sayre) of Chester and Stanley Pugh of Newell; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Charles Pugh Jr. of Tennessee and sister, Linda Dawson of Wellsville.
Per Alvin’s wishes, no services are planned at this time. He is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
