Alvin I. Fineman, of Chester, WV – aged 99 - died on November 5, 2020.
Alvin lived a full life and did his best to get the most of every minute. He had many hobbies and loved his traveling, painting, photography, the Kiwanis Club, (50-year member), the Camera Club, and was a long-time member of Beth Shalom Synagogue.
Alvin had a varied career. He proudly owned Fineman’s Department Store and was respected throughout the community. When Alvin was 92, he made the courageous move to Pittsburgh where he built a new life and so enjoyed the library, movies, and restaurants.
Alvin is predeceased by his parents – Lena and Morris Fineman, his wife, Babette Lowenstein Fineman, his siblings – Dave and Joe (survived by Lois) Fineman and Dr. Sarabell and Walter Solomon, Leslie Fineman, and his son-in-law - Paul Winschel. He leaves behind his children, Richard (Sharon) Fineman, Steve Fineman, Janet Winschel, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his two brothers - Bernie (June) Fineman, Aaron Fineman, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester, WV on Sunday, November 8, 2020, between 11 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at the B’nai Jacob Cemetery on B’nai Jacob Lane in East Liverpool at 2:00 p.m.
