Wilma M. Buckley, 93, of New Cumberland, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Heritage Valley Beaver, following a brief illness.
Born, May 17, 1925, in Pughtown, WV., she is a daughter of the late Carl and Callie Allison.
She was also preceded in death by her son, James Richmond Buckley.
Wilma was a 1942 graduate of Chester High School.
She was a homemaker and was blessed to be able to stay at home and raise her 6 children.
Wilma was a Presbyterian by faith.
She enjoyed crocheting and quilting and was a member of the Hookstown Grange for 75 years. Wilma was also a member of the Brighton Township Fireman’s Auxiliary.
Wilma will be deeply missed by her husband of 75 years, Robert L. Buckley Sr.; children, Robert L. Buckley Jr. and his wife Shirley of Beaver, PA., JoAnne Mengel and her husband David of Rochester, PA., AynnRae Bower and her husband John of Indianapolis, IN., Donald Buckley of Indianapolis, IN. and Scott Buckley of New Cumberland; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Rev. Mark Wilds will celebrate Wilma’s life on Monday, July 30, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Interment will follow at the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery in Hooktstown, PA. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, July 29, 2018, from 1:00 PM- 7:00 PM.
