William Wayne Talbot of Azalea Ave. in East Liverpool passed away at his home while in the loving care of his family following a two-month illness.
80 years old, Bill was born to the late William Warner Talbot and Bessie H. Slaniker Talbot Cronin in Chester on May 8, 1939.
After 20 years, Bill retired from Penn Power in Shippingport as a safety-security supervisor. Earlier, he had been a member of the East Liverpool Police Department. Bill earned an associate degree in police science from Kent State University, and, also graduated with an Advanced Safety Management degree in Atlanta, GA. Bill served his country in the US Army as a Staff Sargent during the Korean Conflict. He held memberships in the East Liverpool American Legion and the East Liverpool Elks.
Bill’s wife, Betty Lou DeSarro Talbot, who he married on November 16, 1959, preceded him in death. Also passing before him was his sister, Nancy Cowey, and one brother, Ronald Talbot.
Saddened by his loss are his children, John W. (Shelly) Talbot of East Liverpool, Kimberly S. (Al) Loker of East Liverpool, Annette M. Dawson of East Liverpool, and Mary F. (Paul) Molish of Calcutta. In addition, Bill leaves nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Private interment with full military honors will be held at the convenience of the family at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Wellsville. The Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester is assisting the family with these arrangements.
