Veva “June” Miller, 84 of East Liverpool passed peacefully, with her loving and caring family at her side, at her home on Sunday, November 26, 2017.

Born in Gay, WV. on June 20, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Chlora Ellen Skinner Whited and James Lester Whited.

After 53 years, June retired from the Adkins Nursing Home in East Liverpool where she at one time or another had held every job possible, including nurse’s aide and activity director. She had attended the Avondale Baptist Church, and she graduated from Ripley High School in Ripley, WV. Although life’s work kept June very busy, her greatest joys were raising and caring for her children and grandchildren. This involved a lot of cooking and crocheting, which she had perfected to an art.

Family members passing previously to her were her husband, Larry Miller, her grandson, Matthew Sears, and her granddaughter, Ashley Miller.

Those left with many beautiful memories of June are her children, Jerry Miller and Renee Chamberlin of North Carolina, James and Tracy Miller of East Liverpool, Barbara and Herb Erickson of Hopedale, OH., and Debbie Miller and Dale Kellogg of Florida; her grandchildren, in which she raised as her own Patrick (Lisa) Miller, Jeffrey Miller, Brian Miller. other grandchildren are Eric Chamberlain, Jackie (Robert) Boso, Charlene Miller Wilson, Stevie Miller, Chad Bates, and Jason Bates. Several great-grandchildren survive as well.

Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester Tuesday, November 28, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Evangelist Ricco Brown of the Virginia Ave. Church of Christ in Chester will conduct services at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Private interment will be held later at Columbiana County Memorial Park. The family would like to also Thank Community Hospice for the wonderful care and support in these last weeks.
