Samuel B. “Bud” Kraft of Wellsville passed away at his home on Monday, October 22, 2018.
88 years old, Bud lived most of his life in Chester, and he was born in East Liverpool on March 7, 1930. He was a son of the late Sydney Kraft and Gladys Brewer Pethel.
A Christian by faith, Bud retired from Crucible Steel as a motor inspector on the Ore Bridge in 1981. He graduated from Chester High School in 1949. Bud had a great passion for old cars, a passion that he passed on to his son’s, Louie and Jerry. Also, he served his country with the US Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict.
Along with his mother and father, Bud was preceded in death by his son Jerry Bradich; his sister, Mary Ruth Norman; and his step-father, Ike Pethel.
His loving and caring family includes his son, Louie Bradich and his wife Kim of Georgetown; his brother, Ike Pethel of Virginia; several nieces and nephews; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bud’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Saturday, October 27, at 4:00 p.m. Pastor Dirk Hall of the Living Well Church in Wellsville will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday two hours prior to the service, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
