Hookstown, PA.
Rosie Tiderman, 88 of Hookstown, passed peacefully on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018, after a brief illness. Born May 9th, 1930 in Aliquippa, she was a daughter of the late Petar and Kata Utvic Bucan. Rosie was a doting and loving mother. Her family was her joy. She loved her time spent at Guilford Lake. She loved music, gardening and cooking. Everyone loved her famous “Bubba’s Noodle Soup.” She was a member of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church led by friend and Pastor Wilmer J. Olszewski.
Those who passed before her were her husband, Emil (Buck) Tiderman, her beloved son Mark Tiderman, her grandson Shawn Cunningham, her son-‐in-‐law Adrian (Ace) Cunningham, and her siblings Dorothy Yanchik, Daisy Belich, Patricia-‐Lucy, Millie, Stella and Eli Bucan.
Rosie leaves her daughters Terry Houghton and husband Jack, Denise Cunningham with whom she resided, Janette Kernaich, Jill Tiderman, Patricia McCandless and daughter-‐in-‐law Peggy Tiderman. She also leaves behind her brother Daniel Bucan and wife Carol, and sister Goldie Brown. Rosie will also be deeply missed by her twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-‐grandchildren.
Her family would like to take this opportunity to thank Rosie’s special caretaker and “Partner-‐In-‐Crime” Janie Beal for being a wonderful friend to their mother. The family also extends gratitude to Amedisys Hospice and Arner Funeral Chapel for Rosie’s tender care.
In lieu of a service, friends are invited to join the family for a “Celebration of Life” at the Hookstown Fire Hall on Saturday, June 9th 2018, from Noon to 4:00.
