Richard C. “Dick” Hartline, 76, of Wellsville, passed away at his home with his wife by his side, Wednesday, September 11, 2019.
Born, July 19, 1943, in Wellsville, he was a son of the late Alex and Mable Russell Hartline.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Randall Hartline and by his brother, Jeff Hartline.
Dick was a 1962 graduate of Toronto High School and he was a proud United States Marine, serving during the Vietnam War. He later retired from Hancock Manufacturing, where he worked as a supervisor.
Dick was a member of the American Legion Post #70 and the VFW Post #5647 in Wellsville. You could describe him as a patient and loving man. Dick volunteered for many years as a coach for his children’s baseball and softball teams. He loved his family and was proud of his grandchildren. He was honored to teach each one of his grandchildren how to drive. Dick enjoyed his camping trips and spending time with his family.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Jeralyn Rice Hartline; daughter, Amy Palmer and her husband Dale of Wellsville; son, Rick Hartline of Lisbon; brother, John Hartline and his wife Della of Toronto; sisters, Linda Rosenberger and her husband LeRoy of Homeworth, OH. and Tina Waggoner and her husband David of Toronto. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Becca Hartline, Olivia Palmer (Chris), Benny Hartline and Noah Palmer; great-grandchildren, Hadley, Madison and Dominic Sheville.
Pastor Mark Blakely will celebrate Dick’s life, Sunday, September 15, 2019, at 5:00 PM, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Friends may visit with the family, Saturday, September 14, 2019, from 4:00PM-8:00 PM.
