Randall B. Railing of Chester succumbed to his difficult battle with cancer on Sunday, November 5, 2017, at the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville. His loving family was at his side as passed.

64 years old, Randy was born in East Liverpool on November 1, 1953. He was a son of the late Donald and Ruth Lyle Railing.

Randy retired as a pipefitter from Quaker State Oil Refinery in Newell, where he worked for 35 years. He was an accomplished artist, creating many meaningful pieces of the tri-state area. Randy was a graduate of Oak Glen High School and a member of the Glendale Nazarene Church.

He will be deeply missed by his children, Chelsea, 26 and Donald, 11; two grandsons, Jude, 6, and Alister, 1; two brothers, Mark, 57, (Linda) and Todd, 59 (Alicia); three nephews, and two nieces, Brandon, Garrett, Lucas, Ivory, and Brittany; several aunts and uncles and cousins; and three step-children, Dustin, Gavin and Tara.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his brother, Brent.

Pastor Scott Henry will celebrate Randy’s life at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Thursday, November 9, at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Locust Hill Cemetery in Chester. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m.
