Paul Gordon

Paul E. Gordon, 86, of Wellsville, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018, at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born, March 7, 1931, in Wellsville, he was a son of the late Paul an Ruth Moncrief Gordon.

He was also preceded in death by his grandchildren, Taurean and Nathalie Gordon.

Paul was a 1949 graduate of Wellsville High School. He was a very curious person and enjoyed learning new things.

He was a Jehovah Witness and member of the Kingdom Hall in East Liverpool.

Paul formerly worked for H. K. Porter as a brick wheeler, but his proudest accomplishment was being the owner of the Bargain Hunter newspaper. Paul purchased the business in 1988, and he delivered the paper until Dec.10, 2017 when he suffered a broken leg.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherma Rice Gordon; children, Gideon Gordon of Wellsville, Mark Gordon of Naples, FL., Shaunte (Larry) Haught of Wellsville and Moneek (Scott) Pelley of Salineville; sisters, Nina (Troy) Lewis of Eldorado, MD., Brenda Jenkins of Lady Smith, VA. And Martha (Odie) Lester of Mineral Ridge, VA.; grandchildren, Jeremy Brown, NaTosha Schoolcraft, Shane Gordon, Devin (Jose) Zabala, Darci (Adely) Annrorat, De'Lani (Patrick) Cao, Nathaniel Gordon and Nickolas Gearin. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the Kingdom Hall, 16516 Annesley Rd. East Liverpool, at 2 PM. Friends may visit with the family, Friday, January 26, from 2-4:00 PM and 5-7:00 PM, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
