Lucille N. Smith

Lucille N. Smith, 95, of East Liverpool, passed away Monday, August 20, 2018, at the East Liverpool City Hospital.

Born August 2, 1922, in East Liverpool, she is a daughter of the late Arthur B. Sr. and Ada Hines McDevitt.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Harold W. Smith; daughter, Deborah Schon; siblings, Arthur McDevitt Jr., Robert McDevitt, Mary McDevitt, Patricia Culp, June Simcox, Richard McDevitt, Lyndon “James” McDevitt and Katherine Davis.

Lucille was a member of the Longs Run Presbyterian Church.

She was a graduate of East Liverpool High School.

Lucille was a lifelong member of the Grange in Calcutta and she also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and gardening.

She will deeply be missed by her children, Jeffrey Smith of Pittsburgh, Timothy Smith and his wife Vicki of Rogers, Patricia Shaw of New Cumberland and Elizabeth Grafton of Troutville, NC.; brother, Gary McDevitt of Phoenix, AZ.; sisters, Hannah Flynn of East Palestine and Elsie Jenkins of Massillon, OH.; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time and the Arner Funeral Chapel is in charge of handling these arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Valley www.hospiceofthevalley.com.
