LaDonna G. Wilson, 71, of Wellsville, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, on Friday, January 12, 2018. She passed at the Lifeline Hospital in Wintersville, following a lengthy illness. 

Born September 18, 1946, in Grafton, WV., she is a daughter of the late Wilber and Clarrissia Kirby Shingleton. 

LaDonna was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Amber Dawn Merriman; sisters, Velma Shingleton Goodwin, Eileen Shingleton Myers, and Mildred Shingleton Salsberry and brother, Leroy Shingleton. 

She was a 1965 graduate of Wellsville High School. 

LaDonna worked for many years as a cook at the former Adkins Nursing Home in East Liverpool. 

LaDonna had a strong Christian faith and attended the First Christian Church in Wellsville. 

She enjoyed crocheting and her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren. 

LaDonna is survived at home by her husband of 51 years, William “Bill” Wilson. She is also survived by her children, Lori (Randy) Ross of Wellsville, LaDonna (John F.) Merriman of Wellsville, Thomas R. (Connie) Salineville and Billie Jo (Robert J.) Dickson of Salineville; sisters, Evelyn (Michael) Buren of Wellsville, Wanda Stewart of Amsterdam, OH. and Katherine Morris of Grafton, WV.; grandchildren, Justin Garner, Brandee Ross, Bradley Merriman, Briana Curtis, William, Wesley, Alex and Joey Dickson and Zachary Merriman; and 5 great-grandchildren.
 

Pastor Mark Blakeley will celebrate LaDonna’s life Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at 11:00 am, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. A private interment will take place at Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday, January 16, from 6-8:00 PM.
