Kenneth F. Backus

Kenneth “Kenny” F. Backus, 56, of Wellsville, passed away, Friday, November 8, 2019, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, following a lengthy illness.

Born, August 30, 1963, in Rochester, PA., he was a son of Alice Reynolds Backus of Chester, WV. and the late Virgil Backus.

Kenny was a 1982 graduate of Beaver Local High School. He was a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ in Industry, PA.

He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and woodworking.

Kenny will be missed by his wife, Theresa Teeter Backus of Carrolton; sons, Tylor Backus of East Liverpool and Tanner Backus and his wife Devon of Dayton, OH.; daughter, Trista Hlavay and her husband Michael of East Liverpool; brothers, Scott Backus and his wife Melissa of East Liverpool, Keith Backus and his wife Wendy of Chester and Virgil Backus and his wife Kelly of Georgia; sister, Denise Backus of Calcutta. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Delaney Hlavay, Kai and Leikan Backus and Braylon Carr.

A memorial service will be planned for a later date and the Arner Funeral Chapel was entrusted with making these arrangements.
