Keith A. Unzicker, 69, of Chester, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018, at the Veterans Hospital in Pittsburgh, following a lengthy illness.
Born, October 10, 1948, in Chester, WV., he was a son of the late Robert “Bob” Unzicker and Ruth Jones West.
He was also preceded in death by his son Nicholas Unzicker and by his brother Randy Unzicker.
Keith was a Nazarene by faith. He enjoyed his family, working in the yard, walking the streets of Chester, and attending Rolling Thunder in Washington DC.
He was a 1967 graduate of Oak Glen High School and a proud United States Army Vietnam Veteran, where he served as a Combat Medic.
Keith worked at Crucible Steel until its closure. He later worked for Dravo Sand and Gravel in Georgetown, PA.
He is survived at home by his wife, Mary Patterson Unzicker and by his children, Richard Unzicker and his wife Lisa of Phenix City, AL., Vincent Unzicker of Follansbee, WV. And Lisa Walker and her husband Ryan of Imperial, PA.; sister, Evett Unzicker. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Darby, Brady, Domonic & Blake and by his great-grandchildren, Maci and Lilli.
Rev. Tim Bess will celebrate Keith’s life, Friday, June 8, 2018, at 11:00 AM, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, where military honors will be provided by the Chester Honor Guard. Friends may visit the funeral home, Thursday, June 7, from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM.
