John W. Young

John W. Young, 63 of Chester, passed away at the Brightwood Center in Follansbee on Saturday, February 3, 2018, of complications from lung cancer.

Born in Salem, OH., on April 5, 1954, he was a son of the late William and Marion Young.

Raised in East Palestine, John was a graduate of East Palestine High School. He was a retired Castor at a foundry in East Palestine, and he was an avid Steelers fan.

Surviving is his children, Penny Moody and her husband Jared and Samantha Grubbs, both of Chester; one sister, Billie Virden of Elkton, six grandchildren, Katana, Kory, Kaleb, Kayla, Robert, and Hayden; and three nieces.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, February 9 from 6-8 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
