Harry J. White III, 65, of Chester, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, December 9, 2019, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, after fighting a courageous battle against cancer.
Harry was born on July 25, 1954, in Clarksburg, WV., he was a son of the late Harry White Jr. “Betty” Shepherd. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Kay White.
He was a graduate of New Cumberland High School and worked for many years as a Maintenance Director at Summerville Retirement Facility in Santa Anna, CA. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, 101st Air Borne, Fort. Campbell, KY.
As well as a model of Christian faith, He was a strong man with a big heart, who never met a stranger. You could find him making up songs and playing his harmonica or in the shop woodworking. He was a collector of anything and everything.
Harry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Charlotte Robison White; daughter, Eve Ilten and her husband Stephen of Colorado Springs, CO.; son, Harry Junior White Jr. and his wife, Roxanne of Chester; brothers, Richard White of Colorado Springs, CO., Marvin White of Weirton, WV. and Clifford White of Spelter, WV.; sisters, Mary Ferral of TX., Doris White of Nutter Fort, WV. and Dreama McKinney of Spelter, WV.
Harry lived for his grandchildren, Drew, Matthew, Kaelyn (Ryan), Ashley, Jasmine, Dylan, Tyler, Alisha, and one great-grandchild, Skyelar.
Pastor Scott Henry will celebrate Harry’s life, Friday, December 13, 2019, at 1:00 PM, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. The Chester Honor Guard will provide military honors. Friends may visit with the family for a memorial visitation from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM.
