Gloria Jean Clendenning, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, 77, of East Liverpool, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 19, 2019, at her daughter’s home in Florida, following a lengthy illness.
Born, May 5, 1942, in Youngstown, OH., she was a daughter of the late, Benjamin and Laura Hull Bezze.
She was a graduate of East Liverpool High School. Gloria was a lifelong homemaker and she took pride in raising her wonderful family. Her other pleasures were gardening and canning.
Gloria will be missed by her loving husband, Edwin N. Clendenning Sr.; sons, Scott A. Clendenning and his wife Millissa of New Cumberland, WV. and Edwin “Ed” N. Clendenning Jr. and his wife Desire of Weirton; daughter, Regina Barnes of Fort Myers, FL.; and her sister, Christina Santarello of East Liverpool. Also, she will be missed by her 6 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pastor John Carroll of Point of Mercy will celebrate Gloria’s life Sunday, May 26, 2019, at 2:00 PM, at Point of Mercy, 13362 OH-Rt. 7, Lisbon, OH 44432. A private interment will be held at the Locust Hill Cemetery in Chester. Friends may visit with the family at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester, Saturday, May 25, from 2-4:00 PM and 6-8:00 PM, and on Sunday, from 1:00 PM until the time of the services at 2:00 PM
