Frank A. “Alan” Shaw, 61, of East Liverpool, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, October 26, 2017.

Born, October 1, 1956, in East Liverpool, he was a son of the late Wayne L. Sr. and Carol J. Byers Shaw.

He was a 1974 graduate of East Liverpool High School. He was formerly a member of the Local 179 Union Plasterers out of Youngstown, OH.

Alan was described by his family as a patient man and a man of his word. He had a good heart, forgave easily and was non-materialistic. His family was proud of the fact that he passed along his driving skills, teaching his sister and children how to drive.

Alan was a lover of sweets, especially of candy. He was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed watching John Wayne movies

He is survived by his son, John Shaw and his wife Randi of East Liverpool; daughter, Kasi Shaw and her fiancé Chad Grey of East Liverpool; his brothers, Wayne L. Shaw Jr. of East Liverpool, William Scot (Angela) Shaw of North, VA.; sisters, Rhea Lyn (Lee) Kotfis and Nora Diane (Tim) Shreeve all of East Liverpool; and his grandchildren, McKenna Grey and Caroline and Lincoln Shaw.

Pastor Eric Edwards will celebrate Alan’s life on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at 6:00 PM at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.  Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home two hours prior to the service, from 4-6:00 PM
