Denver McKnight Sr., 79, of East Liverpool, passed away May 24, 2018, at the East Liverpool City Hospital. He had just suffered the loss of his beloved wife, Dorothy on December 25, 2017.
He was born, October 7, 1938, in New Matamoras, OH., he is a son of the late Clyde and Julia Hooper McKnight.
Denver worked for 25 years at TS&T Pottery in Chester until they closed their doors. He was later employed by Riverview Greenhouse in East Liverpool.
He was a very hard-working man and always made sure his family had everything they needed. Denver was a member of the Polish Falcon Club.
In addition to his wife and parents, Denver was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold, Hesie, Floyd and Gene, Richard and Donald McKnight and by his sisters, Marie Kidder and Dora McKnight.
Surviving are his children David McKnight Sr. and his wife Natasha of Deltona, FL. and Denver McKnight Jr. and his wife Brittany of East Liverpool; brothers, Vernon, Herman and Jim McKnight; sister, Pauline Bradfield; and his grandchildren, Nadirah McKnight TX., Owen McKnight of East Liverpool and David “DJ’ McKnight of Germany.
We will celebrate Denver’s life at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the River Cemetery in East Liverpool.
