Deborah F. Turley, formerly of Chester passed away at the Calcutta Health Care Center on Tuesday, December 25, 2018, after a lengthy illness.
92 years old, Deborah was born on October 13, 1926, in Rochester, PA. She was a daughter of the late William S. and Olive J. Patterson Glenn.
After seven years, Deborah retired as a group leader from Anthem Blue Cross-Blue Shield in Worthington, OH. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Chester where she was active in the church choir. Deborah was a member of the Glee Club and a library assistant at East Liverpool High School where she graduated in 1943.
Preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Poole in November of 1964; her husband, John “Dick” Turley in June of 1992; and her sister, Dorothy Wallace in May of 1996.
Her loving family includes her sons, William (Karen) Poole of Midlothian, VA., Jeffrey (Sherrie) Poole of Newell, Glenn (Maria) Poole of Virginia Beach, VA., Donald (Michelle) Poole of Middlebury, IN., and her daughters, Deborah (James) Pederson of Taylors, SC., and Penny (Danny Csonka) Poole of New Cumberland. She also leaves Twelve grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; as well as four nieces and one nephew.
Her pastor, Rev. Katrina Lewis will conduct services at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Saturday, December 29, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in New Manchester. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday afternoon and evening, where they will be present from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
