I got to know Clyde through his wonderful wife, Mary Jo, and Clyde’s daughter, my good friend, Debbie Goddard. He was such a kind and caring gentleman and was so loving and caring with Mary Jo. So glad I had the pleasure of knowing you Clyde. You will be missed by many.

I had the pleasure of meeting Clyde through his wife, Mary Jo and my very good friend, Clyde’s daughter, Debbie Goddard. He was a very kind man and was so good with Mary Jo, especially after her illness, before her death. I was honored to meet, and to know, Clyde

Your sudden passing have left many family members and friends in disbelief.......including myself...The laughs and smiles we shared together is something I will never forget!..You were like a 2nd father to me, and the last few visits Deb and I had with you at the hospital, as we left, you said I love you, Colin and Deb....although I know my own father loved me dearly, but he never spoke those words to me...Til we meet again my friend.. God bless..

Clyde was a most remarkable person, and a legend in his own time. I will always think of him as a true friend,; his tongue-in-cheek sense of humor, his many cliches ("don't wish for something too hard because you just might get it" and "A good way to ruin a nice relationship is to get married" are two of my favorites).; his wisdom , his stories regarding his family history,; his humility ; his cheerfulness and positive outlook on life;; -- Clyde might be gone, but my fond memories of this genuine human being will live on.! He touched many lives in 80 years, and I thank God he touched mine! My most sincere condolences to his family whom he truly loved; may you be comforted at this most difficult time.

Thank you for those kind words Bill. Your name was one I remember from many many stories from my grandad from the time I was little and even a few days before he died. He so enjoyed the swims and always spoke highly of you. For sure, my grandad touched every life he was fortunate to be part of and his legacy and kindness will remembered by all forever.

Clyde was my first cousin, he was like my big brother. He had a wry sense of humor, a scholar & a gentleman. He was very active, loved to play basketball & swim @ the local "Y". He was in good health until he was not. He loved life & lived life well. He will be missed, but went quickly, no pain no suffering. Where does time go? I remember his daughters, Alicia & Sheri, then 2 & 4 , following me around when I went to A&H Beauty School, in East Liverpool, & stayed with my Aunt Alice & Uncle Elmer Pritchett, their Grandparents, I was then 17, now am 72. Time flies, live each day to the fullest. Not goodbye, Cuz, but till we meet again. ❤️

Sherri I hope you find comfort through your friends. I wish so much I had called him and had a chance to talk to him when you suggested it. It sounds like he was an extrodinary man.
