Clifford W. “Butch” Schultheis Jr., 70 of Lowell, OH., and formerly of New Cumberland passed away at Riverview Methodist Hospital in Columbus on Monday, February 5, 2018, after a lingering illness.
Born in Steubenville, OH., on June 16, 1947, he was a son of the late Clifford W. Schultheis Sr. and Cora Jean Virden Schultheis.
Butch, along with his wife, Linda who survives at home, owned and operated Cliffie’s Salsa Company for 20 years, it was marked from Canada to South Carolina. Earlier, he was the chief engineer at ARH Hospital in South Williamson, KY. Prior to that, Butch had worked as an engineer at the Ohio Valley Hospital in Steubenville. He was a Christian by faith, and he enjoyed fishing more than just about anything. Also, Butch was a veteran of the US Marine Corps.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Marie Wedgwood, and his grandson, Alex Wedgwood.
Surviving, are his wife, Linda Swiger Schultheis, his children, Marcie Guy and her husband, Matt of Rootstown, OH., Skip Schultheis of Pittsburgh, and Jeffrey Schultheis and his wife Toni of Marietta, OH. There are three siblings, Sandra Jones and Faith Buffington of New Cumberland, and Den West and his wife Vicki of New Cumberland. Butch also leaves four grandchildren, Ethan & Dylan Schultheis, Ashley Wedgwood, and Mikaela Ashburn.
Butch’s niece, Pastor Heather Long will conduct services at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Saturday, February 10, at 11:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery in New Manchester. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home Today, Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
