Barbara Ann Milner-Wright of New Cumberland passed at the home of her son where she been staying in Newell on Thursday, January 4, 2018. She had also previously resided in Chester.

82 years old, she was born in Canton, OH., on January 7, 1935. Barbara was a daughter of the late Ida Rex Houston.

A master seamstress, she also enjoyed quilting. Earlier Barbara served as the staff tailor at the Ogilvie’s Department Store in East Liverpool and for the Hancock County Sheriffs Department. She enjoyed membership in the Chester American Legion Post 121 Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star #159 in Wellsburg, The American Quilters Society, and the Cantankerous T’s Model T Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Howard Wright.

Barbara leaves her family, daughter’s, Gail Mayhew and husband Shields of New Manchester, and Melissa Krizan and husband Shawn of Yorktown, VA., sons, Attorney Robert Allan Milner and wife Abby of Chester, and Rex Milner and wife Renee of Newell; grandchildren, Blake, Aaron, and Derick West, Evan and Ava Krizan, Shannon (Rob)Tate and Shawn (Raeanne) Milner; and great-grandchildren, Alexis Timmons, Emily Milner, and Ashton Milner.

Barbara’s arrangements are in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester where planes are being made for memorial service at yet to be determined date.
