MARQUETTE III
(Domestic & Exotic)

The “Marquette III” series is crafted of domestic oak, walnut, maple and burl species and non-endagered exotic mahogony, zebrawood and ebony species using marquetry and cabinet work techniques. Marquetry is a decorative inlaid wood craft that requires cutting multiple small pieces of assorted woods and joining them together into an intricate pattern.

The simple geometry, balance, and contrasting colors in these patterns is reminiscent of the Art Deco style. The wood is hand-sanded to a high luster then finished with Tung oil to seal and protect the color and figuring of the woods.

LEXINGTON
(Domestic Mahogany)

The urn in the “Lexington” style is crafted of mahogany using cabinetwork techniques. The angular style of the rectangle shape is complemented by some unique design elements.

For instance, the gracefully curved top and base as well as the delicate lines of the corner pieces harmonize and blend with the edges and overall profile of the urn. Each corner piece is exquisitely shaped on a wood lathe

The piece is reminiscent of Colonial American style furniture and cabinetwork. The beautiful mahogany wood is stained a dark nutmeg color and the finish is satin.
