Shirley M. (Reight) Shaw

Shirley M. Shaw, 83, of East Liverpool, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Trinity West Hospital in Steubenville, following a brief illness.

Born October 21, 1934, in East Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late William John and Myrta Marie Lanfried Reight.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Donald “Bruce” Shaw; daughter, Cheryl Lee Shaw- Govey and by her siblings, James Leroy Reight, Robert Reight, Pete Reight, Edward Reight, Betty Reight Lovern, Helen Reight Christen, Freda Jean Reight Tomlinson, Delores June Reight Allison and Carolina Sue Reight.

Shirley was a graduate of East Liverpool High School. For many years she was employed by Ferro Corporation in East Liverpool. She most recently was employed at Walmart where she worked in the home décor department.

Shirley was a member of the Trinity Parish Presbyterian Church in Chester.

She was an avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan and she recorded every stat of college and professional football games. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family.

Shirley is survived by her children, John Kenneth Shaw Jr. and his wife Barbi of Chester, William Gregory Shaw of Delroy, OH. And Robert Allen Shaw of Ohio; grandchildren, Lee Ann Baumgarner, Paul Shaw, Bruce Allen Shaw, Alicia Davis, Tricia Shaw, Shannon Shaw Rich, Eric Shaw, Jonathan Shaw, Justin Shaw, Joey Shaw, Staci Shaw, Miranda Shaw, Jamie Govey Halstead, Dallas Shaw, Autumn Shaw, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Rev. Doctor Frank Lewis will celebrate Shirley’s life on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 1:00 PM, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday, April 6th. Burial will follow the Saturday service at the Riverview Cemetery in East Liverpool.
