Rose Marie Dotson of Wellsville passed away at the East Liverpool City Hospital on Sunday, February 25, 2018. She passed from a broken heart, her husband, Samuel Dotson had just passed on December 22, 2017.
83 years old, she was born in Weirton on October 11, 1934. She was a daughter of the late Wilmer and Amelia Charlier Brown.
A homemaker and housewife, Rose was a Christian by faith. She spent countless hours fishing with her husband and children, her favorite pastime.
In addition to her parents and husband, Samuel, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Sonny, Larry, and Tom Brown; and her sisters, Mae Agnes, Janet Carnahan, and Betty Summers.
Left broken-hearted are her children, Samuel E. Dotson and his wife Luanna of North Carolina, Kathleen Walden of North Carolina, Cheryl Romanyak of Weirton, and Darla Thomas and her husband Mike of Wellsville. Also, she leaves her brother, Allen Brown and his wife Andrea of Weirton, ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and cat, Milo.
Pastor David Van Buskirk of the Chester First Christian Church will celebrate Rose’s life at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in East Liverpool. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Following the Thursday services, a continued time of remembrance will be held at the Chester First Christian Church.
