Norma Lillian (Moore) Brandon, 85, of Georgetown, passed to eternal life on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born the daughter of Kenneth and Nina Moore on April 9, 1932 in Greene Township, she was a lifelong resident of Georgetown.
Norma was preceded in death by her loving husband Paul, daughters Rebecca Lou and Diana Lynn, granddaughter Rebecca Burrell, her brothers Kenneth and Donald Moore and an infant brother.
Norma is survived by her children Carolyn Burrell (Howard), Marilyn Brandon, David Brandon (Marcey); grandchildren, Laura (Jamie) Burrell Baxter, Heather Michael, David Brandon and his fiancée Carley Castelli; great grandchildren, Lily and Clay Baxter, Mackalla, Ashtyn & Brandon Michael and several nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of Hopewell High School and was an active member of the Georgetown United Methodist Church. In previous years she volunteered in the Women's Society of Christian Service, the Girl Scouts as a brownie leader and Cub Scouts as a den leader. She was a mail carrier for the USPS in Georgetown for twenty years.
A Service of Death and Resurrection will be led by the Rev. Willard Chuck Adkins and the Rev. Carl Neely at the Georgetown United Methodist Church on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Noon. Interment will follow at Mill Creek Hill Cemetery in Hookstown. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Arner Funeral Chapel, 607 Carolina Avenue, Chester, WV., on Sunday, 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM.
