Lois Evonne Reed Hickey, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Acuity Specialty Hospital in Weirton, WV.
Lois was born June 8, 1930, a daughter of David Lee Reed and Ollie Pearl McBride Reed.
The beauty of nature, her faith and family were at the center of all that brought her happiness and peace.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest, Clifford, Samuel, Harry, Max and sisters, Essie, Flossie, and Vertie.
Lois attended Word of Life Church in Steubenville.
Her life was blessed with devoted family and friends, daughters, Sandra Kay (Willard) Douglas, Lori Ann Benedict (Jim); grandchildren, Billy (Kelley) Douglas, Cathy (Kyle) Sokol; great-grandchildren, her pride, and joy, Will John Douglas, Ella Grace Douglas, Nikolai Douglas Sokol. Many nephews, nieces, and cousins who held her close. And dearest lifelong friends Dare Martin, Lucille Delp, Polly McBride, and Sally Visnic.
Lois will live on in every sunset appreciated; every visit to the deep quiet wood for solitude, and every smile a small child brings to the face of an elderly person.
