Lillian Ruth Hughes,78, of Daytona Beach, FL., passed away Thursday, November 8, 2017, at the Valley Hospice Care Center in Steubenville, OH.

Born, July 3, 1939, in Martinsferry, OH., she was the only daughter of the late Andrew and Ruth Lillian Miller Crawley.   

She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jolly Junior Ashcraft, second husband, Eugene C. Hughes; son, Timothy James Ashcraft and brother, Norman Crawley. 
Lillian was a graduate of Warren Consolidated High School. She worked for many years as an STNA.

Lillian was a member of the Glenmoor American Legion Post 736 and she enjoyed being part of the American Legion pool and bowling leagues.

She is survived by her sons, Jim  (Dorothy) Ashcraft of Edgewater FL. and A.J. (Jenny) Ashcraft of Port Orange, FL.; daughter, Jennifer Sanford and her fiancée Alva Webster of New Cumberland; brother, William (Christine) Crawley of Mentor, OH.; grandchildren, Paul Gregg, Kimberly Michelle Ashcraft, James Curtis Ashcraft, Andrew Shane,  Christine Pitts, Sarah Rebecca Merriman, Andrea Dawn Ashcraft and Scott Anthony Utt.

There will be an open house at the home of Jennifer and Alva, 3668 Hardins Run Road
New Cumberland, WV 26047, Sunday, November 12, from 4-7:00 PM.
