Karen S. Blankenship of Wellsville died at the Life Line Hospital in Wintersville on Friday, October 6, 2017, following a lengthy illness.

Born in East Liverpool on December 10, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Earl L. and Dorothy J. Vanover Blankenship.

Karen had previously worked at Fresh Mark in Salem and she had attended Wellsville schools.

Survivors include her children, Tina Schafer of Salem, Tracy Possage of Jacksonville, FL; Dale Baker, Craig Baker, Justin Baker, and Gregory Baker, all of Wellsville; her siblings, Pansy Fetty of Wellsville, Earlene Blankenship of East Liverpool, and Anthony “Joe” Blankenship of Wintersville; and Eighteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

In accordance with Karen’s wishes, no services are planned and private interment will take place at Columbiana County Memorial Park in East Liverpool. She is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
