Ethel Elaine Ward, 68, of Chester passed away at the home her son in Hookstown on Monday, January 22, 2018, after a short battle with cancer.
A daughter of the late Clifford and Betty M. Figley Gray, she was born in Sewickley, PA., on June 5, 1949.
She was a homemaker and a graduate of South Side High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ward, her son, Clifford Gail Ward, and her great-grandson, Carl Gallagher.
She leaves her children, Larry Ward of New Cumberland, David (Yvonne) Ward of Hookstown, Linda (Keith) Walker of Georgetown, Jerry (Jessica) Ward of Aliquippa, Terry Ward of Chester, and Brian Ward of Calcutta; one brother, Arthur (Verna) Gray of Hookstown; sixteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester and private interment will be at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell.
