So sorry to hear about Mr. Smith. I had the pleasure of having him for a Science teacher in middle school. He was such a great teacher. Always had a smile on his face. Doug had the best stories and I enjoyed hearing him reminisce about growing up in Newell. A very humble man who taught more lessons than science in his classroom. He had the best sense of humor and a great outlook on life. My heart is broken for your family. Rest in peace my friend.

We are sincerely sorry to read about Doug's passing. Doug was a teaching colleague at Oak Glen Middle School. His caring and concern for his students were evident from his earliest teaching days. To Julie, Ruth, Dave and all his wonderful family, we offer our prayers and sympathy.
