Dorothy J. McKnight, 74, lifetime resident of East Liverpool, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born April 1, 1943, in East Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Sophia Karoleski Harzen.

Dorothy was a 1961 graduate of East Liverpool High School.

She was an active and involved member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in East Liverpool and worked for Riverview Green House in East Liverpool from 1973-1998.

Dorothy is survived at home by her loving husband of 56 years, Denver McKnight Sr.; sons, David (Natasha) McKnight Sr.  of Deltona, FL. and Denver (Brittany) McKnight Jr. of East Liverpool; brother, Alfred “Freddie” Harzen and his wife Edna of East Liverpool; sister, Bernice (Gerald) Pendry of Jacksonville, FL. and grandchildren, David McKnight Jr., Nadirah McKnight and Owen McKnight.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Arner Funeral Chapel.  Visitation hours will be at the funeral home on Thursday, December 28, 2017, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Father Jeeson Stephan will preside for Catholic Funeral Liturgy at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, December 29, 2017, at 10 A.M.  Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery in East Liverpool.
